Tomáš Pavčík

undefined Tomáš Pavčík is a director, actor and pedagogue. He finished theatre studies at the Faculty of Arts of the Masaryk University in Brno. In 1995, he started working as an actor in Eva Tálská's Studio Dům, later as an outside actor in the Divadlo Husa na provázku. Since 2000, he has worked on his own theatre projects - at first in the Studio Dům (Panenky, 2000; Princ Bhadra a princezna Vasantaséna, 2001; Živý orloj, 2005; Obrazy svatých a Vánoční hra o sv. Jiří, 2006; Krvák, 2007), later also elsewhere as an independent director or otherwise (Výlet se všemi důsledky, 2003, Divadlo Husa na provázku; Fraška o kádi, 2004, Division of Theatre Studies, Faculty of Arts, Masaryk university; Kalendář svatých, 2007, for the Diocese of Brno; Dva věrní notáři, 2007, Department of Theatre, Film and Media Studies, Faculty of Arts, Palacký University in Olomouc; Živé sochy, 2009 Malé divadlo kjógenu). Since 2002, he has been a member of the Malé divadlo kjógenu, which performs the traditional Japanese farce kjógen. As an actor he collaborates with the alternative Brno theatre Divadlo Líšeň. As a pedagogue he has worked at the Gymnázium P. Křížkovského in Brno. He focuses on alternative theatre forms, especially folk theatre (fairground theatre, puppet theatre, Commedia dell'arte, clown performances, slapstick comedy etc.).
