Petr Kolář

Petr Kolář is a graduate from Dancing Conservatory in Brno. His first engagement was in Prague komorni balet of Pavel Šmok. In 1995 received Thalia Award for his extraordinary performance in dance creation Seul, music of Jacques Brel. During 1996 - 1997 season he acted as soloist in the National Theatre in Brno, in 1999 - 2001 was a member of a dancing theatre in Bratislava. He closely worked with Jan Kodet on dancing projects home as well as abroad. Since 2001 till today he is a soloist of the Prague Chamber Ballet - State opera Prague. During his outstanding carrier he created a wide range of roles in choreographies of Jiří Kylián, Pavel Šmok, Libor Vaculík, Petr Zuska, Petr Tyc, Robert North, Ján Ďurovčík and many others. He also took part in art tours all around the world. He performs in independent projects for ProART Company. He is a father of son Jan.
