Mathieu Guilhaumon

Born in Perpignan (France), Mathieu Guilhaumon started training  at the Conservatoire national de danse in Perpignan and  the Martine Limeul and Matt Mattox Dance School. He then went on to the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center in New York and the Rudra Béjart School in Lausanne.
From 2001 to 2012 he successively joined Stadttheater Bern Ballett, Ballet Theater Augsburg and Ballet de l’Opéra national du Rhin where he performed ballets by renowned choreographers.
He has choreographed several pieces for Bern Ballet and Ballet du Rhin and is now invited for new creations in international dance companies such as Ballet du Rhin and Ballet Nacional Chileno.
Parallel to his career as a dancer/choreographer, Mathieu Guilhaumon has participated in a variety of international workshops since 2002.

Jazz

As a disciple of Martine and Matt Mattox for nearly 10 years,  Mathieu Guilhaumon teaches this technique which has been largely influential in the evolution of Jazz Dance. His classes are based around what the Master calls "the barre", built up on a series of isolation and coordination exercises followed by a sequence combining his personal style with the fundamental lines of the technique.
