Kara Regas
Kara’s dancing career began as a small girl taking ballet classes. This led to her becoming an active member of Ballet Arts Ensemble (Michigan, USA) from 1999-2004. After that, she fell in love with contemporary dance, eventually getting her bachelor’s degree in Dance and Theater Arts from Beloit College in 2008 (Wisconsin, USA).
Her specific interests with regard to dance include kinesiology, movement efficiency and the benefits of dance in healing the body. During her studies, she was a member and choreographer in the Chelonia dance company, participated in the American College Dance Festival, and performed in dances by choreographers Heidi Latsky (New York), Kathleen Hermesdorf (San Francisco) and Aiko Kinoshita (Seattle/Japan).
Kara’s current interest is in the combination of Modern Dance and English. Using the power of kinesthetic learning, her current aim is to combine the two studies into an effective, synchronous study.
