Gorka Bravo
Gorka Bravo is a spanish, young photographer specialised for dance and performing arts. His career began in 2008, when Juan Eduardo López, Director of the 'Marató de L´Espectable' in Barcelona, came across with his Photography work: "We want to profit from your spontaneous vision, your creativity, sensibility and colours treatment for our last Marató". That is how, in June 2008 he worked for the "25th Marató de L'Espectacle", having the responsibility of covering the last edition of a 25 years old Festival.
Gorka fulfilled the expectations satisfactory and that is why he was hired for the International Urban Landscapes Dance Festival "DIES DE DANSA 2008". Since then he began to highlight due to his point of view about dance and another Urban Landscapes Dance Festival, "DANTZA HIRIAN" (2008) took him on as its official Photographer.
His Photos have been included in the international CQD (Dancing cities) magazine, he has been cover of the "Stradda" magazine from Paris and took part on the French publication about dance "LE EXTERIEUR DE DANSE".
2010 was with no doubts his best year, when after receiving the first prize at the International Dance Photo contest "CAPTURADANZA", the "MUSEU PICASSO DE BARCELONA" discovered his job and hired him for a graphic report. Afterwards the Theater and Dance Festival "DFERIA" from San Sebastian also required his services and therefore he took pictures for the National Dance Company (CND = Companía Nacional de Danza).
Gorka Bravo will arrive to ProArt to give a Dance Photography Workshop and share his wide experience after taking part in 10 Festivals, where he took stunning Photos. Nothing better but discovering his work in: www.gbravophoto.com
