Golde Grunske

Golde Grunske is born 1975 in Leipzig, Germany. She is working as a freelanced Choreographer in Cottbus. She studied Contemporary Dance in Berlin on „Etage – school for performing arts“ and Choreography  (M.A.) at the Palucca University of Dance Dresden. In 2008 Golde Grunske founded the „dancecompany golde g.“ which is working with different freelanced dancers.  The „dancecompany golde g.“ produced numerous dance productions for indoor and outdoor.  The dancecompany golde g. was invited to numerous festivals, for example  International Theater Festival Skupi (Skopje, Macedonia), Dresdner Tanzwoche,  Sibiu International Theater Festival  (Sibiu, Romania).

In her choreographies and performances, G. Grunske is asking to behaviour between persons in private, every day situations and in public. How do we live together? How do we listen to each other? How much private room do we need for ourselves?  What do we know about distance, nearness, respect to each other, trust, injury?

Grunske especially is interested in conditions in daily life bevor 1989. She investigated circumstances in prisons for children and youth in the former DDR (choreographies „Schocktherapie“, „danach“, „Kinderheim Alt Stralau“). For her work she got the piece-award „Friedenstaube Frere Roger“ 2011 in Dresden.

G. Grunske create choreografies also for young audience, for example „Rotkäppchen“ and „Rikki Tikki Tavi“.

2009 Golde Grunske opened the „Tanzwerkstatt“, a place for working, teaching and showing  Contemporary Dance. The „Tanzwerkstatt“, with a little Off-theatre, organize dancefestivals and invite international dancecompanies.

Since 2008 G. Grunske is teaching Contemporary Dance for all Ages. She teached „movement teaching“ on Brandenburg University of Technology in Cottbus.

The ministry of culture of Brandenburg awarded Golde Grunske the award for performing arts  (Brandenburgischen Kunst-Förderpreises 2013 für Darstellende Kunst).

Ioannis Avakoumidis was born and grew up in Athens. He studied psychology at the university of Crete and completed his dance studies in Athens. The dancer, performer, choreographer and teacher of contemporary dance works since 2003 in numerous dance and theater productions among others at the "Deutsche Oper Berlin", the "Opéra de Rouen Normandie, the "Seefestspiele Berlin", the "Oper Köln", the "Staatsoper Hannover", the "Landestheater Linz", the "Akademie der Künste Berlin", the "Halle Tanzbühne Berlin", the "Athens Concert Hall", the "Piccolo Theater Cottbus", the "Deutsche Tanzkompanie" etc.
Tours throughout Europe have taken him to Germany, Austria, Denmark, France, Finland, Belgium, Poland, Cyprus and Greece. He worked among others with the artists Roy Spahn, Golde Grunske, Matthias Heine, Marco Lulic, Nicola Hümpel (Nico and the Navigators), Vollker Schlöndorff, Carlus Padrissa (La Fura dels Baus), Toula Limnaios (cie.toula limnaios), Marc Bogaerts, Micha Purucker, Athol Farmer, Eva Brehme Solacolu, Thomas Vollmer, Jürgen Pöckel, Bernd Lanzke, Hans Fredeweß, Kerstin Köhler, Beatrice Scharmann, Stefanie Erb, Stephan Weiland, Justus Cariere, Vaibhani Merchant, Victor Acharya etc.
