From Feldenkrais into Breakdancing

The Feldenkrais Method (Awareness Through Movement) explores functional movement and an efficient use of the skeletal system by inviting an inner dialogue and fine-motoric sensibilisation. They address self-awareness through observation and exploration of one´s own movement and consist of slow, comfortable and easy moves. The whole workshop will be conducted in the fashion of exploration, slowness and search for comfort with the emphasis on self-awareness. Breakdancing or Bboying serves us as an inventory of concepts and ideas (Pivot, Lock, Thread, Drop,...) that are to frame our anatomical and kinaesthetical explorations. Along with our explorative mind we will cultivate the ability to contact the floor with hands, elbows, shoulders, head while opening up new possibilities on how to organize the body in the space. The workshop is intended for all movers and dancers who want to enrich their own movement vocabulary. Previous experiences with Breakdancing are not necessary.
