Eran Gisin
Eran Gisin was born in Israel and started dancing in the folk dance company "Hora Jerusalem" by Shai Gottesman in 1995 and was there until 2003. There he worked with guest choreographers like Ido Tadmor and Yehoram Karmi from Israel. Meanwhile he took classes with the "Thelma Yellin School of Art" with Rose Subol, Rami Levi and Meleny Bernson.
From 2004-2007 danced with Rami Be'er's Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company. During this time he danced key roles in Multifidus, Screen Saver, Foramen Magnum, Upon Reaching the Sun, Aide Memoire, Ekodoom and Power of Attorney. In 2006 he performed in the "45th anniversary Gala", Hora Jerusalem with 'Yag' by Ohad Naharin.
In 2006/2007 he taught at the Matte Asher School for the Performing Arts.
In 2007/2008 worked as choreographic assistant to Mr. Be'er , setting many of his works on companies in Israel and Germany including Oldenburisches Staatstheater. In 2007 he moved to Tanztheater Darmstadt in Germany by Mei Hong Lin. There he danced Ainadamar, VergissMeinNicht, Hotel du Nord and Carmina Burana. In that time he danced a piece by Jochen Ulrich called "Lorenzaccio". He began making his own work in 2007 he work for the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Workshop which he later restaged on Staatstheater Darmstadt in 2008. In 2009 - 2012 he was a dancer of The National Dance Company Wales - where he has collaborated with many choreographers including, Nigel Charnock, Stijn Celis, Itzik Galili, Stephen Petronio, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano and Ohad Naharin.
Currently he is freelance dancer and choreographer in Israel and at the same time studying psychlogie at the University in Tel Aviv.
Contemporary Kibbutz
Eran has worked extensively in Europe and Israel as both dancer and teacher. He was a dancer for 4 years with the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company for and traveled both nationally and internationally with the company. He also works as choreographic assistant to choreographer Rami Be'er setting his works for companies throughout the world. He is currently a member of the National Dance Company Wales, but also teaches when time allows. His classes are a mix of many contemporary styles combining a strong use of the floor and standing techniques and a dynamic use of musicality.
